This year brings about many firsts for Ford. This year, Ford is introducing a few new electric and hybrid vehicles to the lineup. One of the most highly anticipated models is the new Ford Maverick. The Maverick is a robust and capable truck that comes standard with a hybrid engine. So far, this is the only pickup truck on the market that offers a hybrid engine as standard equipment. This innovative truck will have a starting price of around $28,000 and should be available in Canada sometime this fall. Here is a look at some of the features that you can find on this exciting new vehicle.
Exterior Design
The Maverick features a stylish and practical exterior design. The front fascia features an aggressive design, and the large front integrates perfectly with the large LED headlights. One of the most innovative features that the exterior has to offer is the FLEXBED design. This unique feature adds small slits to the bed's interior and allows you to divide the bed into several different sections. There is also a 12-volt power point and an available 110-volt power outlet that is integrated into the inside of the bed.
Interior Design
So far, the Maverick will only be offered as a Crew Cab truck. This means that the truck features four full-sized doors and a spacious rear seating area. The cabin can comfortably seat up to five adults while offering plenty of legroom and headspace to ensure that no one feels too cramped or crowded on long road trips. The cabin also features several interior storage compartments including storage pockets that are located inside of the door and an extra-large storage bin that is located under the rear seats.
High-Tech Features
A large and responsive 8-inch colour touchscreen infotainment display comes standard on all Maverick models. The display comes equipped with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. There are also several optional advanced features including a premium 8-speaker B&O sound system, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a wireless phone charging station.
Safety Features
The Maverick comes with a wide range of standard safety features including an advanced airbag system and a reverse camera. There is also an available driver-assist technology site that offers a wide range of additional features including:

The Maverick comes standard with a 2.5-litre hybrid engine that is paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and can deliver 191 horsepower while getting an estimated fuel consumption rating of 5.9 L/100 km. There is also an available 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine that comes standard with an intelligent AWD system and delivers 250 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft of torque. When you pair this engine with the available Trailer Tow Package, the truck can tow up to 4,000 pounds.
